    If you’ve ever wondered where all the distractingly clickable stories at the bottom of your favourite news or magazine site come from – things like “What Age Will Be The Best Year Of Your Life?” or “These 7 Questions Will Reveal Your Animal Ego” – the chances are that storytelling platform Playbuzz is behind them.
    Set up in 2012, the company helps some of the world’s premium publishers and brands to author, distribute and monetize interactive stories that drive audience engagement. Their list of clients includes some of the most recognizable names on the planet, from Universal and Samsung through to BBC, Netflix and eBay. 

    The company has over 150 employees across its offices in New York, Tel Aviv, Hamburg, São Paulo, Moscow, Los Angeles and London. In September 2017, Playbuzz raised $35,000,000, bringing its total fundraising to date up to $66,000,000.

    The UK office has been operating out of a co-working building on Wimpole Street while Playbuzz formulated its number projections. Now seeking a home to brand and design as their own, they contacted us to find them a space to handle a growing workforce and to allow their culture to thrive. 

    Well established in its current location, Playbuzz was keen to remain in the West End but to find surroundings with a more contemporary buzz and creative vibe: to our minds, that meant Covent Garden, particularly for a company in the TMT sector. Deftly straddling the line between design, retail, food and culture, it’s a part of Central London that is totally alive, known to almost everyone and easily accessible. It’s also a really fun place to work, so perfect for the Playbuzz brief.

    On Kean Street, just south of Covent Piazza, we found a seventh floor workspace at the newly refurbished Imperial House. Measuring 3,500ft2, the office is not only wonderfully well lit from its position high above the street, but also has its own private roof terrace looking out across the local rooftops – a fantastic area for the Playbuzz team to enjoy.
